Forging New Collaborations: A Guide for Rape Crisis, Domestic Violence, and Disability Organizations (Smith, N. & Harrell, S., 2011), New York: Vera Institute of Justice.  This report is aimed at policy makers, practitioners and first responders using collaboration to address violence against people with disabilities and is informed by observations and interviews with collaborations funded by the US Office on Violence Against Women’s Disability Grant Program.  It includes guidance on building effective collaboration between victim services and disability organisations, practical strategies for overcoming common obstacles and ways of starting the collaboration process.  Available in English.

Protocol for Coordinated Community Response for Battered Immigrant Women: A Community Toolkit (The Southern Arizona Battered Immigrant Women Project, 2010).  This toolkit and accompanying web pages featuring video presentations, outline the specific components and considerations needed for establishing an effective coordinated response to intimate partner violence for immigrant women.  Available in English.

Building Partnerships to End Violence Against Women: A Practical Guide for Rural and Isolated Communities (Community Coordination for Women’s Safety Project, 2005).  Vancouver, BC: BC Association of Specialized Victim Assistance and Counseling Programs.  This guide was produced to help rural and isolated communities develop new, and enhance existing, inter-sectoral coordinated responses to violence against women and has a special focus on women who experience specific barriers to accessing intervention and support services (including Aboriginal women, women of colour, immigrant women, low-income women, women with disabilities, lesbians, transgender women, older women and young women).  Available in English.
