A well-developed coordinated response can increase awareness of its work among other agencies and professionals, raise the public and political profile of violence against women and, ideally, engage communities in ending violence against women in their locality.
As part of its initiative to develop coordinated responses to domestic violence in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Gender Research Initiative designed a colourful logo depicting the coordinated response as different coloured petals of a flower. This logo shows the different agencies involved and their commitment to working jointly to address domestic violence. Additionally, the logo became easily recognisable to the public.

In the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, a public awareness campaign on the coordinated response was implemented to show that agencies involved had agreed to work together and implement the country’s law on domestic violence.
